This exquisite vintage wall art – adorned with the artist's signature and believed to originate from the 1960s – is an eye-catching work of traditional kimekomi. With a dark wooden frame and a serene teal backing board, this shadow box is 32.8cm in height and 20cm in width.
 
Within its confines resides a graceful Japanese Geisha, looking serenely off into the distance with an Uchiwa fan in hand. She is draped in a beautiful blue kimono and red obi with sakura and kiku brocade accents. The meticulous attention to detail is evident in the intricacies of the hair, facial features, attire, and poised stance, complemented by a cream background, on which the artist's signature and hanko (signature stamp) stand in sharp contrast.
