Our temari are crafted using traditional Japanese embroidery techniques and make for beautiful gifts. This particular design was inspired by the imagery of fresh sprigs of life on the Sakura (cherry blossom) tree after the winter  snows have thawed. This delicate kiku design sits elegantly on a beige background. 
The embroidered craft originated in the courts of the Japanese Imperial Palace - and is said to bring luck and prosperity to its owner. In Japan, these treasures are often gifted to both children and grandchildren by grandparents around the New Year period.
